Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 14 September 2026

These terms apply whenever you use LaunchDay's website design, hosting, or support services ("Services"). By paying your setup fee or instructing us to begin work, you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, message us on WhatsApp before you pay, we're happy to explain.

1. Our Services

LaunchDay designs and builds a one-page website for your business, registers a .co.za domain on your behalf, and provides ongoing hosting, a business email address, an SSL certificate, and basic support for a monthly fee. Full details and current pricing are set out on our website and may be updated from time to time.

2. Payment & Setup

The once-off setup fee is payable before we begin building your site. Once payment is confirmed, we aim to have your site live within 48 hours, subject to you providing the content, images, and approvals we need from you. Delays on your side may delay your launch date.

3. Refunds

Setup fee: if you change your mind before we've started building, message us on WhatsApp and we'll refund your setup fee in full. Once work on your site has begun, the setup fee is non-refundable, it covers the design and build time we've already put in, and any domain registration cost, which is paid to a third-party registrar and can't be reversed.

Monthly hosting: payments already made for your current billing period are non-refundable, including if you cancel partway through. You'll keep access to your site and email for the rest of the period you've already paid for.

If you believe you've been charged in error, or a payment failed but you were still billed, message us on WhatsApp and we'll sort it out.

4. Monthly Hosting & Cancellation

Hosting is billed monthly with no fixed-term contract. You may cancel at any time by messaging us on WhatsApp, effective at the end of your current billing period.

If you cancel: you keep full ownership of your domain name, it remains registered to you and you're free to point it anywhere else you like. However, your website itself will be taken down and removed from our hosting once your final billing period ends. We do not retain a copy of your site after cancellation, so if you'd like a backup of your content, let us know before you cancel.

5. Changes & Support

Your monthly hosting fee includes small changes to your existing site, things like updating your contact details, fixing a typo, swapping a photo, or tweaking a price. As a general guide, if a change takes us less than 5 minutes to implement, it's covered.

Larger requests, such as adding new pages or sections, redesigning parts of the site, building new features, or anything requiring significant design or development time, fall outside what's included. We'll always let you know upfront if something falls into this category, and provide a separate quote before doing any billable work. We never charge you without your agreement first.

6. Content & Ownership

You own the content you provide us (your text, photos, logo, and branding) and your domain name. The underlying website design, code, and templates remain the property of LaunchDay, and are licensed to you for use only for as long as you remain an active hosting customer.

7. Your Responsibilities

You're responsible for making sure the content you give us (text, images, claims about your business) is accurate and that you have the right to use it. You agree not to use your site for anything unlawful, misleading, or harmful.

8. Uptime & Availability

We host on reliable infrastructure and aim for maximum uptime, but we can't guarantee your site will be available 100% of the time. Occasional downtime can happen due to maintenance, third-party outages, or circumstances outside our control, and we're not liable for losses arising from such downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

LaunchDay is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our Services, including loss of business, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time as our Services evolve. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use our Services after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
